New Delhi, Dec. 10 -- Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Flood Control Board, attended by board members and MLAs Rajkumar Chauhan (Mangolpuri), Arvinder Singh Lovely (Gandhinagar), Abhay Verma (Laxmi Nagar), Satish Upadhyay (Malviya Nagar), along with senior departmental officials.
The meeting reviewed key flood-management initiatives, including construction of a two-lane road along the Najafgarh Drain, desilting and cleaning operations, and other flood-control strategies.
The Board has given its approval to advance the two-lane road project. Singh emphasized that Najafgarh Drain is Delhi's largest natural drainage line, and developing an improved road network along its edges will significantly help...
