New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- The Government has clarified that there has been no increase in the price of domestic LPG cylinders for household consumers, countering media reports suggesting a hike of Rs.111. The reported increase applies only to commercial LPG cylinders, whose prices are market-determined and linked to international benchmarks, particularly global LPG price movements.

India imports nearly 60 per cent of its LPG requirement, making international prices a key determinant.
