New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has expressed concern that, despite multiple directives, encroachments in the Yamuna River's floodplain in Delhi have not been cleared.
The tribunal made this remark while reviewing a petition related to the enforcement of its 2019 order directing the removal of encroachments.
In an order issued on February 6, a bench led by NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Srivastava noted that more than five years have passed since the tribunal's (2019) order, yet it remains unimplemented.
