New Delhi, July 3 -- After incessant rainfall over the past hours on Friday morning, July 3, Mumbai, once again submerged in rainwater with severe water-logging seen in low-lying areas of the city, including Sion and Kurla.

With the regional Meteorological department saying "There could be water-logging in several parts of Mumbai", the weather department has issued an orange alert for the city and has asked local authorities to be prepared for any eventuality.

Along with major roads and local trains in the city, short term disruption of municipal services like water supply and electricity etc. can be affected due to the heavy rainfall. There are possibilities of old buildings collapsing in the city along with trees falling down.
