New Delhi, May 20 -- The BJP-led Delhi government has reduced the annual Member of Legislative Assembly Local Area Development (MLA LAD) Fund from Rs.15 crore to Rs.5 crore per constituency, starting from the financial year 2025-26.
The decision, based on a Cabinet resolution dated May 2, 2025, was communicated through an official order issued by the Urban Development Department. The revised allocation will now serve as untied funds, allowing MLAs flexibility to use them for both capital works and maintenance activities without any specific ceiling.
