New Delhi, Oct. 23 -- Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa visited Haathi Ghat at ITO to review the ongoing preparations and cleanliness work for Chhath Puja. He emphasized that for the millions of Purvanchali residents living in Delhi, Chhath is not just a ritual but a symbol of Sanatan tradition, Hindu faith, connection to one's roots, and cultural heritage.

Sirsa said that in previous governments, Purvanchali families were often forced to perform rituals in the polluted waters of the Yamuna, and cleanliness and basic facilities at ghats were neglected.
