New Delhi, June 16 -- newly elected Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation od Delhi Satya Sharma paid a courtesy visit to Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta at his official residence, where she was extended warm congratulations and best wishes.

Satya Sharma and Sunder Singh, both affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have been elected as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson respectively of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The committee, which plays a key role in approving civic projects above Rs.5 crore, had remained inactive since the 2022 municipal elections.
