New Delhi, Nov. 7 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) South Zone continued its enforcement drive to ensure cleanliness and civic discipline under the directions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

During surprise inspections on November 6, 2025, officials from the Engineering Department issued 140 challans amounting to Rs.3,35,100 against various violations including biomass burning, littering, illegal dumping of construction and demolition (C&D) waste, and non-segregation of waste.

The action was taken as per NGT guidelines that prohibit storage or dumping of construction material on metalled roads and direct strict compliance to prevent air and dust pollution. Offenders were fined amounts ranging from Rs.10,000 to Rs.30,000,...
