New Delhi, Dec. 6 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) presented a budget of Rs 16,530.50 crore for 2026-27. The details of the budget were laid out by MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar.

Sanitation has received the highest allocation of Rs.4,795.28 crore, marking a continued emphasis on cleanliness and waste-management infrastructure across the city.

According to officials, the substantial budgetary focus reflects the administration's priority to strengthen garbage collection systems, enhance mechanised cleaning and expand waste-processing facilities.
