New Delhi, April 16 -- Excess use of money power may cancel the Lok Sabha polls in Vellore constituency in Tamil Nadu said sources.
A recommendation in this regard is learnt to have been prepared by the Election Commission which will be sent to the president.
"It would be sent today itself," an official said on Monday.
Since the signing of the notification for Lok Sabha elections is done by the President, it is he who revokes it.
The decision came a few days later a large sum of cash was allegedly seized from the DMK candidate's office.
On the basis of a report from the Income Tax department on April 10, a complaint by the district police has been lodged against DMK candidate Kathir Anand as well as two party functionaries.
