New Delhi, March 26 -- Candidates of Left Unity have won 3 out of 4 seats in the central panel in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Union electons. Left Unity also backed the candidature of Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students' Association (BAPSA) candidate for one of the Central panel posts who also won thus giving the Left a clean sweep in JNU elections.

Dhananjay from the All India Students' Association (AISA) won the JNUSU president's post by securing 2,598 votes against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's (ABVP) Umesh C Ajmeera who secured 1,676 vote.
