New Delhi, April 14 -- The Ministry of Law and Justice announced that Shri Justice Arun Palli, currently serving as a Judge of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The appointment was made by the Hon'ble President of India, under the powers conferred by the Constitution of India and following consultation with the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India.

Justice Palli will assume his new role with effect from the date he takes charge of his office.
