New Delhi, March 9 -- The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), one of India's premier education institutes, has s appointed an election committee to conduct student union elections after four years. The previous Jawaharlal Nehru Union Students Union (JNUSU) elections were held in 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, student union elections were postponed at that time.

According to the notification, Shailendra Kumar has been elected as the chairperson of the election committee to oversee the JNUSU elections for the academic year 2023-24.
