New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- The sedition charges against 3,000 people that took part in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Wasseypur area of Dhanbad district are likely to be dropped off as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren has recommended taking back the charges slapped against them.

7 named and 3,000 unnamed have been registered in the cases by the district administration for carrying out an anti-CAA protest march without permission.
