New Delhi, Jan. 23 -- In order to scale up its air purifier business in India, catering to the demand in both consumer as well as B2B space, Japanese electronics firm Sharp Corporation has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

The major move comes when air quality remains affected in the region. Working in collaboration with Associate Professor Dr. Sagnik Dey and Associate Professor Dr. Gazala Habib of IIT, Delhi, the Japanese firm has demonstrated that Plasmacluster Ion (PCI) holds an efficacy to remove PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons), contained as toxic air pollutants in Indian cities.
