New Delhi, June 22 -- North Korea appears to be ramping up military pressure on South Korea. North Korea used controlled explosives to blow up the de facto inter-Korean Embassy just north of the border. Later, North Korea announced that it would redeploy troops and resume military exercises near the border. North Korea will likely deploy troops to disarmed border areas, most likely at Kaesong and Kumgangsan, in the coming days. South Korean Navy vessels or islands housing military assets in the West Sea, or small-arms fire across North/South demarcation lines could be the target of North Korean military escalation.
