New Delhi, July 2 -- Before participating in the QUAD Foreign Ministers Meeting, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held a series of significant diplomatic engagements in New York.

Dr. Jaishankar met with Japan's Finance Minister Takeshi Iwaya, where the two leaders held comprehensive discussions on infrastructure, investment, and mobility. The meeting also focused on strengthening the Quad alliance, which includes India, Japan, the United States, and Australia. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific region, emphasizing strategic coordination and regional stability.
