New Delhi, July 6 -- As India has deployed additional troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) amid escalating tensions with China, the Indian Army will be procuring extreme cold weather tents for soldiers in eastern Ladakh.

Informing about the same, the top army sources said, "We are going to place orders for extreme cold weather tents for our troops deployed in the eastern Ladakh sector." The tents will be provided to them at the earliest possible timeframe.

Apart from this, the Indian soldiers also require specialised waterproof clothing as the water level in the Galwan river has increased in the last few days.

The Indian Army is looking at both European and Indian markets for the procurement of the facilities.
