New Delhi, Dec. 14 -- Indian Army has issued an advisory to the people to be cautious against fake news and disinformation that are being circulated on several social media platforms, in line with protests in the northeastern states over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.
Meanwhile the security has been beefed in the northeast region with 26 columns been deployed in Assam to support the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to manage and handle the law and order situation in the region. The strength of one column is about 700 personnel of all ranks.
