New Delhi, May 7 -- Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and destroying nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK).
At a special press briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri condemned the Pahalgam attack-which killed 25 Indian tourists and one Nepali citizen-as the deadliest since the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He attributed the massacre to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its proxy, The Resistance Front (TRF).
"This attack was marked by extreme barbarity and was clearly aimed at derailing normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir," Misri said, noting that the objective was to sabotage the tourism-driven economy and provoke communal unrest.
