New Delhi, May 7 -- India's maiden human spaceflight programme, Gaganyaan, has moved into its concluding stage, with the first crewed mission now targeted for launch in the first quarter of 2027.

Addressing the media at the National Media Centre, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh-who oversees the Departments of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, and Space-shared key updates on the mission's progress, highlighting its technological advancements and economic impact. ISRO Chairman and Secretary of the Department of Space, Dr. V. Narayanan, was also present.
