New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- India's economy is estimated to grow by 7.4 per cent in real terms in FY 2025-26, according to the First Advance Estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). This marks an acceleration from the 6.5 per cent growth recorded in FY 2024-25, reflecting sustained economic momentum.
The press note stated that nominal GDP is estimated to expand by 8.0 per cent in FY 2025-26. In absolute terms, real GDP (at constant 2011-12 prices) is projected at Rs.201.90 lakh crore, compared to Rs.187.97 lakh crore in FY 2024-25.
