New Delhi, Nov. 18 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an official statement acknowledging the verdict announced by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh concerning former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
In its response, India emphasized its commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh. The statement reads:"As a close neighbour, India remains committed to the best interests of the people of Bangladesh, including in peace, democracy, inclusion and stability in that country."
The Government of India reiterated that it will continue to "engage constructively with all stakeholders" to support these objectives.
