New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- At the invitation of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani paid a State Visit to India on 17-18 February 2025. The Amir was accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, officials and business leaders. This was the second State Visit of HH the Amir to India.

The Amir was received by President of India Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhawan on 18 February and was accorded a ceremonial welcome. The President also hosted a banquet reception in honour of the Amir and accompanying delegation.
