New Delhi, May 3 -- India has criticised Canada for giving political space to separatism, to extremism and people who practice violence.

Answering a question in the press briefing, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said: " the kind of political space that has been given in the country, in Canada to separatism, to extremism and people who practice violence. This not only impacts India-Canada relations, but also encourages a climate of violence and criminality in Canada to the detriment of its citizens. So, you would have seen our Press Release that we issued, that would convey how seriously we've conveyed our concerns to them."
