New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Mauritius Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam held wide-ranging discussions in New Delhi during the Mauritian leader's State Visit to India. The talks resulted in the announcement of a Special Economic Package along with several new agreements aimed at strengthening development cooperation, infrastructure, science, and strategic ties between the two nations.
Under the package, India will support Mauritius in undertaking major projects. On a grant basis, these include the establishment of the new Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam National Hospital, setting up of an AYUSH Centre of Excellence, creation of a Veterinary School and Animal Hospital, and provision of helicopters.
