New Delhi, Dec. 15 -- The Directorate of Education (DoE), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, has issued a circular directing all schools in Delhi to conduct classes for students up to Class IX and Class XI in hybrid mode-a combination of physical and online classes-following the invocation of Stage-IV (Severe+) measures under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
The decision comes in compliance with an order dated December 13 issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), which activated all actions under Stage-IV of GRAP after Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed the "Severe+" threshold of 450. The measures have been enforced with immediate effect to prevent further deterioration in air quality.
