In a first, aarti at Amarnath cave getting live-streamed, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic
New Delhi, July 6 -- In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, aarti at Amarnath cave in Himalayas is getting live-streamed to pilgrims, for the very first time in history. The live telecast of aarti and darshan of Lord Amarnath was done on Doordarshan channel, the special arrangements for which were made by the Amarnath Shrine Board on Sunday, July 6.
This comes as part of precautionary measures by the Jammu and Kashmir government in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Several restrictions have been put on Amarnath pilgrimage this year.
