New Delhi, March 27 -- In a move to prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAIs), the Indian Institute of Technology or IIT in Delhi has developed an "infection-proof fabric" to be used at the hospitals.

The development comes by "Fabiosys Innovations", a start-up incubated at IIT-Delhi, at a time when the world is making serious efforts to combat the deadly Coronavirus outbreak. It is to be noted that the team has been working on the project with support from the government's Department of Science and Technology for more than a year.
