New Delhi, May 15 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced a major breakthrough in the fight against Naxalism, stating that under the #NaxalFreeBharat mission, security forces have achieved the biggest-ever success in an anti-Naxal operation. In a coordinated action on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, 31 notorious Naxals were gunned down at Kurraguttalu Hill (KGH).

Once a hub of red terror, Kurraguttalu was home to the Unified Headquarters of major Naxal outfits such as PLGA Battalion 1, DKSZC, TSC, and CRC. It served as a base for training, strategy planning, and arms manufacturing for Naxal cadres. Today, the national flag proudly flies atop the same hill.
