New Delhi, July 10 -- In a move to evaluate the trend of COVID-19 among the population, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is planning to conduct a nationwide sero-surveillance, informed the government at the centre on Thursday, July 9.

This sero-survey will be a follow-up for the previous sero-surveillance that was conducted in the month of May by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The sero-survey involves testing of the blood sample of an individual to know the prevalence of antibodies against Coronavirus.
