New Delhi, June 14 -- Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, has announced a reservation policy for orphaned children starting from the academic session 2025-26. This initiative was confirmed through an official statement released by the university.

The move follows the implementation of reservation for single girl children a year ago and aims to promote inclusive education. The proposal has been approved by the university's Academic Council.

As per the policy, one additional seat will be reserved for orphan applicants in every school and program offered by the university. Moreover, these students will be eligible for full tuition fee waivers under the university's Economically Weaker Section (EWS) scheme.
