New Delhi, May 9 -- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued a formal advisory to all OTT platforms, media streaming services, and digital intermediaries, instructing them to immediately discontinue all content having its origins in Pakistan. The advisory cites national security concerns in light of recent terror attacks with alleged Pakistan-based linkages.

The advisory, issued under the framework of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, highlights the Code of Ethics that governs digital content. It specifies that content undermining India's sovereignty, integrity, public order, or friendly relations with foreign states must not be transmitted or published.
