New Delhi, June 26 -- The Lok Sabha polls and the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls in 2017 were rather triangular with the Samajwadi Party (SP) having an alliance with the grand old party, Congress (in 2017 UP Assembly polls) or having a tie up with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Lok Sabha elections 2019.

But with a situation depicting an end to the electoral alliance between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the upcoming Assembly polls on 12 seats in Uttar Pradesh are likely to be a four- corner contest.
