New Delhi, May 31 -- Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri held a productive meeting with US Under Secretary of Defense Elbridge Colby. Deputy National Security Advisor Pavan Kapoor also joined the meeting.

The meeting reaffirmed defence as a central pillar of the India-US strategic partnership. Talks focused on deepening cooperation in key areas such as co-development and co-production of defence technologies, joint military exercises, logistics and information-sharing frameworks, and enhancing interoperability between the armed forces of both nations.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, with particular emphasis on maintaining stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
