New Delhi, May 8 -- India extended a warm welcome to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as he arrived in New Delhi to participate in the India-Iran Joint Commission Meeting. The visit marks a significant occasion as both countries celebrate the 75th anniversary of the India-Iran Friendship Treaty.
Official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal announced the arrival, highlighting the importance of the visit in deepening bilateral cooperation.
This is Dr. Araghchi's first visit to India since assuming office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran in August 2024.
