New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, flagged off the first dedicated Parcel Train from Budgam to Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. The service marks a major boost for apple growers in the Union Territory, enabling them to transport their produce more efficiently to markets across India.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the LG said the initiative ushers in a new era of trade and business for apple growers and traders in the Valley. The dedicated freight service is expected to reduce transit time, increase income opportunities for thousands of farmers, and significantly strengthen the agricultural economy of the region.
