New Delhi, April 16 -- In a cabinet meeting chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government has decided that the electricity subsidy in Delhi will continue.

The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also approved the continuation of the existing power subsidy for four categories: domestic consumers, farmers, lawyers with chambers, and victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Delhi power minister Ashish Sood said: "Today Delhi Cabinet has made a decision over power subsidy. In a special proposal, the Delhi Cabinet has decided to continue the subsidy for farmers, subsidy for 1984 anti-Sikh riot victims, subsidy to lawyers' chambers and existing domestic consumers.
