Elections to elect Student Union in JNU to be held after 4 years
New Delhi, Jan. 24 -- Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration has announced that the student union elections, last conducted in 2019, will occur six to eight weeks after the initiation of the PhD courses, set to commence on February 2. In an official announcement, the university emphasized adherence to the Lyngdoh Committee report and Supreme Court directives regarding student body elections in educational institutions.
The notice said, "We kindly request the cooperation of all students in ensuring fair and orderly elections. Detailed guidelines from the office of the dean of students will be shared in due course."
