New Delhi, Dec. 1 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a revised schedule, extending key dates by one week for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 12 States and Union Territories, with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date.
According to the revised timeline, the enumeration period and the rationalisation and rearrangement of polling stations will now be completed by December 11, 2025. The updation of the control table and preparation of the draft roll will take place from December 12 to December 15, 2025.
