New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- The Election Commission of India, having reviewed the system and process of registration of political parties, is going to roll out Political Parties Registration Tracking Management System (PPRTMS) through an online portal. The registration of Political Parties is governed through the provisions of section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. The move comes to facilitate tracking of status of application by applicants.
The new guidelines that have been hosted on the official website of the commission, i.e. https://eci.gov.in., will be put to force from 1st January, 2020.
