New Delhi, Feb. 6 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had a telephonic conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during which they discussed recent regional developments and bilateral relations between India and Egypt.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of continued engagement and agreed to stay in touch on key issues of mutual interest.

According to a statement by the Egyptian State Information Services, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted during a phone call with Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar the Egyptian political leadership's keenness in boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries on all fronts of mutual concern.
