New Delhi, May 6 -- Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar met with Speaker Fukushiro Nukaga of Japan's House of Representatives in New Delhi today, accompanied by his parliamentary colleagues and a business delegation.

During the meeting, Speaker Nukaga conveyed Japan's solidarity and support following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, a gesture deeply appreciated by the Indian side.

Dr. Jaishankar acknowledged Nukaga's role in fostering the natural partnership between India and Japan and noted that both sides agreed to expand cooperation across key areas.
