New Delhi, Dec. 14 -- Condemning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's "rape in India" remark, the Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Sanjay Singh said, "I do not support such a statement because no one should try to use the word rape improperly..."

The remark by Rahul Gandhi came during an election rally in Jharkhand.

Singh said to that a strict law should be brought in to check increasing incidents of crime against women.

"In the floor of the Parliament, I have demanded a strict law against rape incidents in India. People of India are worried about the increasing number of rape incidents and it is high time to make a more stringent law against rape," said the AAP leader.
