New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken a significant step to enhance the reliability and performance of its oldest and busiest lines, the Red Line (Line-1) and Yellow Line (Line-2), by signing a contract with Alstom Transport India Limited (ATIL). These lines, operational since 2002 and 2004 respectively, currently use Distance To Go (DTG) technology for signalling.
The agreement was signed by Manuj Singhal, Director Infrastructure of DMRC, and SSachin Deora, Director Commercial of ATIL, in the presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, along with other officials from DMRC and ATIL at Metro Bhawan.
