New Delhi, July 17 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) marked a significant milestone today with another successful tunnelling breakthrough on the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor, part of its ongoing Phase-IV expansion.
A Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) completed a 0.96-kilometre tunnel between Tughlakabad and Tughlakabad Railway Colony, culminating in a breakthrough at the Tughlakabad Railway Colony site. This achievement underscores DMRC's steady progress on the 23.6 km-long corridor, which will enhance metro connectivity in South Delhi and link major transport hubs such as the Airport Express Line at Aerocity and the Violet Line at Tughlakabad.
