New Delhi, Jan. 13 -- Keeping it strict, the new rule has been brought in by the Kashi Vidwat Parishad, as part of which a dress code has been introduced for devotees entering the sanctum at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi.

While men will have to wear the Indian Hindu traditional attire 'Dhoti-Kurta', the new dress code mandates women to wear saree to enter the sanctum and worship the deity. People wearing pants, shirts and jeans will not be allowed to enter the sanctum of the temple and will be able to worship the deity from a distance. Also, the devotees will be allowed permission to enter the sanctum to pay obeisance till 11 am.
