New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- The Union Government has introduced the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha, proposing a comprehensive restructuring of India's higher education regulatory framework in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The Bill aims to create a transparent, student-centric, and globally aligned higher education system while reducing regulatory overlap and procedural complexity.

A central objective of the Bill is youth empowerment.
