New Delhi, April 24 -- Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh met Union Minister for Jal Shakti CR Paatil in a courtesy call, Parvesh Sahib Singh said that in the courtesy calls, he discussed in detail about strengthening water supply in Delhi, cleaning of Yamuna, and new water projects.

Cleaning of Yamuna was one of the major electoral issues in the Delhi elections. The BJP consistently attacked the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of taking no steps at all to clean the Yamuna.

Ensuring regular water supply to Delhi people was also one of the major issues raised in the Delhi elections.
