New Delhi, Dec. 22 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the National Capital will roll out a New Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy next year, aimed at accelerating the transition to clean mobility and making EVs more accessible to citizens.

According to the announcement, electric vehicles will become more affordable, with consumers set to benefit from bonuses and additional discounts on scrapping old vehicles. The policy also places strong emphasis on expanding infrastructure, with charging stations to be increased across residential colonies and public places to address range and access concerns.
